The Return

As you can see we have been away for a wee while. Well don't fret we haven't been putting our feet up and lazing in the sun (we wish!). We have been working hard with our friend Jonni at Dogday (http://www.dogdayprint.com/) to produce some new and exciting screen printed fabrics. Things are looking pretty good so far but you will have to wait a little longer to see what we have been doing.

We will try not to stay away too long this time but please be assured we have been thinking of you all whilst we have been busy.

See you soon, N&Z.xx

Under the Sea....

Under the sea
Under the sea
Darling it's better
Down where it's wetter
Take it from me
Up on the shore they work all day
Out in the sun they slave away
While we devotin'
Full time to floatin'
Under the sea

(Disney's Little Mermaid)

Since Noé and Zoë set off sailing across the oceans on their boat a few days ago they have encountered many sea creatures. They have run in to Sea horses, Whales, Crabs. Imagine the lives that are going on beneath the sea that we just don't know about. Would it be like the Little Mermaid, Nemo or Spongebob? We have managed to get Noé and Zoë to capture a few images of what they have seen on their travels. Have you ever been Scuba diving? What did you see? There is something very intriguing about it because it is so different from our own dry lives. Why don't you share your experiences of your trips with us.

What will Noé and Zoë get up to next time? Can't wait to find out.

See you soon.xx

We are Sailing! We are Sailing!

Noé and Zoë went to sea
In a beautiful white-ish boat,
They took some honey, and plenty of money,
Wrapped up in a five Euro note.
Noé looked up to the stars above,
And sang to a small guitar,
'O lovely Zoë! O Zoë my love, What a beautiful Zoë you are,
          You are,
          You are!
What a beautiful Zoë you are!'

(Our own verison of The Owl and the Pussy Cat by Edward Lear)

Wouldn't it be great to set sail in a boat and discover another land. Or maybe go round the entire world watching all the sea creatures in their natural environments. Imagine what you would see...
According to the poem above Noé and Zoë took lots of money with them which would be good if they planned to stop anywhere-hopefully it will be somewhere with the same currency. Honey is also a good bet as it has a long life span but what would they eat with it? Surely they would feel sick if they only ate honey! If you were going off on your adventures what would you pack with you? And where would you go? Do you know any poems that share this adventure theme? Share them with us we would love to hear them.

Why not make a boat of your own like Noé and Zoë's and you could have many hours of fun exploring other countries like them!

Fit For A Queen

Our very own Princess Lilou has a room fit for Royalty with her name spelled out on her wall along with some lovely scattered stars. We love stars here at N&Z HQ. Do you? Also in her room is a special weather mobile and an anchor.

This Princess just turned one and she proudly displays her age with a cuddly number.

What does your bedroom look like? Why not create your own wall display with letters and numbers or even an anchor. Look on noe-zoe.com for inspiration. Let us see what you can create in your own space.

Queen For A Day

The Royal Wedding in England has got the whole world talking. We are no exception.
In celebration we have held our very own Princess Picnic.

We have put together a guide for you to hold your own Princess Picnic.

You will need:

1. A friend/family member/group of friends or even just some soft toys/dolls

2. A Noe & Zoe crown (shown above). Make sure there is one for every princess at the picnic

3. A big blanket-the more colourful the better!

4. Some pretty plates. Why not make your own designs by drawing and colouring paper plates.

5. Fill the plates with food-real/imaginary/fake to enjoy. Look at our fabric cake (above pics). What could you make for it? Maybe you have a recipe for a  great picnic treat. We would love to hear about it.

6. Decorate the rug and surrounding area with bunting, paper chains and other decorations

7. Sing some songs, play some games and act like a Princess (or Prince)

8. Most important of all.... HAVE SOME FUN!!

For an extra special Royal touch why not follow The Guardian’s instructions and knit yourself a Corgi!  (or get someone like your mum/grandma to help)

This is our recipe for the perfect Princess Picnic. We hope you have fun and please feel free to share your picnic tips and photographs. We look forward to seeing them.

See you soon. N&Z.xx
